The following text is the conversation that I had with a Christian missionary through email. She sent me a mail concerning some Saint Theresa with her picture (see above) and prayer and asked me to make a wish to her and pass it on to 17 people. Instead of replying exclusively to her, I shared my reply with all on my mailing list. I shared with all because (All praise be to Allah) I can't stand falsehood being propagated and the truth remains a mute spectator. In fact the Truth should be proactive, but in our times it is reactive, if at all. Actually, that's our attitude towards everything and religion is no exception.
The following is the mail that I recieved from the lady missionary with the picture above.
Look at the picture make a wish, then read the prayer.
Hi – I am picking 17 people who have touched my life and who I thinkwould want to receive this. Please send it back to me (You'll see why).In case you are not aware, Saint Theresa is known asthe Saint of the Little Ways, meaning she believed in doing thelittle things in life well and with great love. She is representedby roses. May everyone who receives this message be blessed. Theresa's Prayer cannot be deleted. REMEMBER to make a wishbefore you read the prayer.
That's all you have to do..There is nothing attached. Just share this with people and see what happens on the fourth day.Sorry you have to forward the message, but try not to break this, please.Prayer is one of the best free gifts we receive. Read the prayer below.Saint Theresa's PrayerMay today there be peace within.May you trust God that you are exactly where you are meant to be.May you not forget the infinite possibilities that are born of faith.May you use those gifts that you have received, and pass on the love that has been given to you.May you be content knowing you are a child of God. Let this presence settle into your bones, and allow your soul the freedom to sing, dance, praise and love.It is there for each and every one of us.Now, send this to 17 people within the next 15 minutes. And remember to send this back. I count as 1...you'll see why.
My reply to her
Firstly, I thank Achamma for sending Saint Theresa's statue and the message with it. I know you have sent is mail out of nothing but care and make my life happy and pleasant. Thanks again. But I would like to inform you with all due respect that Allah has blessed me with two things (heart and mind). The two things, which have made man superior to all the creation of God. Allah has blessed you also with these two or for that matter any other human, but I believe yours have gone in hibernation. It's just that you need to wake them up. Please do not mind my words, as these are just to wake you up. You asked me to make a wish before Saint Theresa and then forward this message to 17 other people. I am not only forwarding it to 17 friends but more than you ever expected.
Coming to making wish, why should I make wish to Saint Theresa? Is she God? Has something gone wrong to my God, your God and God of all (may God forbid) who I worship? My God is not like yours that if it were to fall on ground, it breaks to pieces. He is the Mighty, the Wise. The idol saint (Saint Theresa) that you worship cannot move even a fly, leave alone fulfilling my wish. On the contrary, if she wants any help from me, she will find me an obedient one, of course if I am nearby. If she wants to be moved from one place to another, I will oblige her. I would have challenged her to inflict any harm to me in defiance of treating her as a helpless idol, if she had any power. But poor she, she is not even worthy of throwing up a challenge. The things that we worship other than God, are nothing but creation of our own imagination. The Lord, the Most High has not given any permission to do so. The reason why I use such words is not to insult any saint or you; it's just to drive you from darkness to light. I respect all the prophets (peace be upon them all), and all the pious souls and that's why we send peace to them when their names are mentioned. But divinity and its attributes are exclusively for God alone. Nobody shares with him any divinity. Neither Muhammad nor Jesus (peace be upon them both) or anyone else.
On the Judgment Day when all slaves of Allah will be marshaled before Him, that day no soul shall bear the burden of another. The deeds of each soul shall be placed before them; whatever they would have done in their earthly sojourn and thy Lord will treat none with injustice. The day when scales of justice would be established, where the poor and the weak would get their due, where the so called 'gods', which men had owned for themselves without God's permission would disown them, where the rich would be made accountable for all the riches they were bestowed out of nothing but as a favour from their Lord in their sojourn on this earth, where the tyrants and the mighty who had played havoc with the lives and property of the innocents souls of God would be humbled and punished, where the rejecters of the Truth despite clear signs from their Lord would be questioned and where the rejecters of life after death would be shown what they all had been rejecting all through their life.

I worship none but God and He is enough for me. I do not need any help from those who themselves are at Mercy of others. I have held the trustworthiest Hand.
"Whoever rejects evil and believes in Allah hath grasped the most trustworthy hand-hold, that never breaks. And Allah heareth and knoweth all things." (Qur'aan, 2:256)
The God that I worship is defined as under. Though He is your Lord also, but it's just a matter of accepting Him or rejecting Him and that makes all the difference between a believer and non-believer, between you and me. Please have patience to read. JazakAllah (May Allah reward you for this).
"Say (O Muhammad): He is Allah, the One and Only; Allah, the Eternal, the Absolute; He begetteth not, nor is He begotten; And there is none like unto Him". (Qur'aan, 112)
"Allah. There is no god but He,-the Living, the Self-subsisting, Eternal. No slumber can seize Him nor sleep. His are all things in the heavens and on earth. Who is there can intercede in His presence except as He permitteth? He knoweth what (appeareth to His creatures as) before or after or behind them. Nor shall they compass aught of His knowledge except as He willeth. His Throne doth extend over the heavens and the earth, and He feeleth no fatigue in guarding and preserving them for He is the Most High, the Supreme (in glory). (Qur'aan, 2:255)
Allah is He, than Whom there is no other god;- Who knows (all things) both secret and open; He, Most Gracious, Most Merciful. Allah is He, than Whom there is no other god;- the Sovereign, the Holy One, the Source of Peace (and Perfection), the Guardian of Faith, the Preserver of Safety, the Exalted in Might, the Irresistible, the Supreme: Glory to Allah. (High is He) above the partners they attribute to Him. He is Allah, the Creator, the Evolver, the Bestower of Forms (or Colours). To Him belong the Most Beautiful Names: whatever is in the heavens and on earth, doth declare His Praises and Glory: and He is the Exalted in Might, the Wise."

Since, you are a Christian it becomes imperative to inform you that Jesus (peace be upon him) never claimed divinity. It is we, who have raised him to the station of divinity. He was one of the slaves and a prophet of God. It's really astonishing that Christians claim to be followers of Jesus (peace be upon him), but they do just opposite to what he taught and preached. In his second coming (as he did not die. He was lifted miraculously by Almighty) he will follow the way of the last prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) because there is not going to come another prophet after Muhammad (peace be upon him). Seeing this Christians will also follow the way of the last prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him). But this would for those who be there and then. Why not we mend our ways now and save ourselves from eternal doom and follow the last prophet?
Below I am quoting few verses regarding Jesus (peace be upon him) as mentioned in Qur'aan (God's last and final revelation for entire mankind). The readers are to judge for themselves whether they sound true or otherwise. If your mind and heart are in hibernation, please wake them up. They would be of great help inshaAllah (God willing). Trust me!
Jesus like Muhammad and all the prophets (peace be upon them all) invited people to worship none but God "Verily, God is my Sustainer as well as your Sustainer; so worship Him [alone]: this is a straight way." (Qur'aan, 3:51)
"Indeed, the truth deny they who say, "Behold, God is the Christ, son of Mary" - seeing that the Christ [himself] said, "O children of Israel! Worship God [alone], who is my Sustainer as well as your Sustainer." Behold, whoever ascribes divinity to any being beside God, unto him will God deny paradise, and his goal shall be the fire: and such evildoers will have none to succour them!"
(Qur'aan, 5:72)
"They have taken their rabbis and their monks-as well as the Christ, son of Mary-for their lords beside God, although they had been bidden to worship none but the One God, save whom there is no deity: the One who is utterly remote, in His limitless glory, from anything to which they may ascribe a share in His divinity!" (Qur'aan, 9:31)
"O followers of the Gospel! Do not overstep the bounds [of truth] in your religious beliefs, and do not say of God anything but the truth. The Christ Jesus, son of Mary, was but God's Apostle - [the fulfilment of] His promise that He had conveyed unto Mary - and a soul created by Him. Believe, then, in God and His apostles, and do not say, "[God is] a trinity". Desist [from this assertion] for your own good. God is but One God; utterly remote is He, in His glory, from having a son: unto Him belongs all that is in the heavens and all that is on earth; and none is as worthy of trust as God." (Qur'aan, 4:171)
Jesus (peace be upon him) was a slave and a prophet of God. "The Christ, son of Mary, was but an apostle: all [other] apostles had passed away before him; and his mother was one who never deviated from the truth; and they both ate food [like other mortals]. Behold how clear We make these messages unto them: and then behold how perverted are their minds! (Qur'aan, 5:75)
"[As for Jesus,] he was nothing but [a human being -] a servant [of Ours] whom We had graced [with prophethood], and whom We made an example for the children of Israel." (Qur'aan, 43:59)
"Verily, in the sight of God, the nature of Jesus is as the nature of Adam, whom He created out of dust and then said unto him, "Be" - and he is." (Qur'aan, 3:59)
Good news of the birth of Jesus (peace be upon him) "Lo! The angels said: "O Mary! Behold, God sends thee the glad tiding, through a word from Him, [of a son] who shall become known as the Christ Jesus, son of Mary, of great honour in this world and in the life to come, and [shall be] of those who are drawn near unto God. (Qur'aan, 3:45)
Said she: "O my Sustainer! How can I have a son when no man has ever touched me?" [The angel] answered: "Thus it is: God creates what He wills when He wills a thing to be, He but says unto it, 'Be' - and it is. And he will impart unto thy son revelation, and wisdom, and the Torah, and the Gospel, (Qur'aan, 3:47&48)
Miracles of Jesus (peace be upon him). "And he shall speak unto men in his cradle, and as a grown man, and shall be of the righteous." (Qur'aan, 3:46)
"and [will make him] an apostle unto the children of Israel ." "I have come unto you with a message from your Sustainer. I shall create for you out of clay, as it were, the shape of [your] destiny, and then breathe into it, so that it might become [your] destiny by God's leave; and I shall heal the blind and the leper, and bring the dead back to life by God's leave; and I shall let you know what you may eat and what you should store up in your houses. Behold, in all this there is indeed a message for you, if you are [truly] believers. (Qur'aan, 3:49)
Jesus (peace be upon him) not crucified but lifted miraculously to heavens. "and their boast, "Beh7old, we have slain the Christ Jesus, son of Mary, [who claimed to be] an apostle of God!" However, they did not slay him, and neither did they crucify him, but it only seemed to them [as if it had been] so; and, verily, those who hold conflicting views thereon are indeed confused, having no [real] knowledge thereof, and following mere conjecture. For, of a certainty, they did not slay him:
nay, God exalted him unto Himself - and God is indeed almighty, wise." (Qur'aan, 4:157&258)
Jesus's (peace be upon him) testification on the Day of Judgment. "And Lo! God said: O Jesus, son of Mary! Didst thou say unto men, `Worship me and my mother as deities beside God'?" [Jesus] answered: "Limitless art Thou in Thy glory! It would not have been possible for me to say what I had no right to [say]! Had I said this, Thou wouldst indeed have known it! Thou knowest all that is within myself, whereas I know not what is in Thy Self. Verily, it is Thou alone who fully knowest all the things that are beyond the reach of a created being's perception. Nothing did I tell them beyond what Thou didst bid me [to say]: `Worship God, [who is] my Sustainer as well as your Sustainer.' And I bore witness to what they did as long as I dwelt in their midst; but since Thou hast caused me to die, Thou alone hast been their keeper: for Thou art witness unto everything. (Qur'aan, 5:116&117)
Prophecy about coming of the last prophet Muhammad from Jesus (peace be upon them both). "And [this happened, too,] when Jesus, the son of Mary, said: "O children of Israel! Behold, I am an apostle of God unto you, [sent] to confirm the truth of whatever there still remains of the Torah, and to give [you] the glad tiding of an apostle who shall come after me, whose name shall be Ahmad." But when he [whose coming Jesus had foretold] came unto them with all evidence of the truth, they said: "This [alleged message of his] is [nothing but] spellbinding eloquence!" (Qur'aan, 61:6)
Having said all, I invite you to worship none but God and follow the way of the last prophet (peace be upon him) and save yourself from the eternal fire, which has been prepared for those deny God as one and reject His messengers. Muhammad (peace be upon him) did not come with any new religion. He on the contrary confirmed what Jesus, Moses and all the prophets (peace be upon them all) of yore brought. Lack of space does not permit me to write more.
May God bless you all. Please do take care.
